news125x125An article that I thought was very important to bring to your attention was reported by KHON2 News on the 25th of March about Colon Cancer. It’s a preventable disease if detected early, but still remains the second deadliest cancer.

Doctors are saying, if people could get over the stigma of the screening procedure it could save more lives. Dr. Tsai estimates that there will be 700 patients diagnosed to have colon cancer and estimates close to 270 will die from this dreadful disease.

Colon cancer is a Hugh problem because people are not getting screened by getting a colonoscopy. Detection for colon cancer early is vital. If it is caught at an early stage, the survival rate more than five years are more than 95 percent. This does apply to both men and women because cancer has no favorites.
